Welcome to ICST4S’2024
The first edition of the International Conference on Smart Technologies for Sustainability (ICST4S’2024) will be organized by UMP – National School of Applied Sciences Oujda and Central Casablanca. The event will take place on September 26th and 27th, 2024, in Saidia, Morocco.
This conference aims to serve as a forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in various fields, including asset performance and 4.0 technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), big data, virtual and augmented reality, rapid manufacturing, advanced human-machine interfaces. They enable lower cost, higher productivity and flexibility, better quality, and a reduced environmental footprint during the product lifecycle management. Open questions about working conditions and social issues must not be neglected. The optimization of asset management must take into account new environmental and social challenges for which much more global approaches must be defined beyond the cost, delay and quality objectives.
To be effective, the smart technologies should address well defined objectives of performance. Exchange of best practices and methods between executives, practitioners and researchers is fundamental to progress in this new paradigm.
